Our Student Board

Hi, I'm Grace Costin, and I'm the President of the CMSO. I'm a 4th-year majoring in Construction Management with a minor in Business and a concentration in Civil Management. This is my third year serving on the CMSO Executive Board, previously holding the roles of Social Media Coordinator and Vice President.

I'm actively involved in many of our organization's competitions and events, including ASP, NAHB Productions, OCA Estimating Competition, ASC Region 3, and Relay for Life.

Professionally, I've gained experience through internships with The Ruhlin Company and Independence Excavating, where I've worked in heavy civil construction, building construction, and estimating. These opportunities have given me a well-rounded understanding of the construction industry and reinforced my passion for pursuing a career in the industry.

Hi, my name is Izzy Kovacs, and I’m the Vice President of the Construction Management Student Organization for 2026-2027. I’m a junior Construction Management major, currently serving my second year on the CMSO board after previously holding the role of Event Coordinator. I am heavily involved in the CMSO including our student competitions such as: ASC, NAHB (team lead), ABC and UC as well as events and volunteer opportunities. 

I’ve gained experience through internships with The Ruhlin Company and Independence Excavating in heavy civil construction as well as estimating and will be joining Great Lakes Construction this fall. I’m looking forward to the year ahead and the chance to work with our students as well as industry professionals. Hi, my name is Austin Hammock, and I am proud to say that I am serving as the 2026-2027 Treasurer for the CMSO! I’m currently a 4th year majoring in Construction Management with a civil concentration and a business minor. At KSU I’ve been active in NAHB: Productions, OCA Estimators Competition, and helped the UC New Builders: Civil Estimating team with their proposal.

Outside the classroom, I have enriched and enjoyed myself with four internship terms as of summer 2026 with Beaver Excavating and The Ruhlin Company, where I gained valuable experience in civil estimating, field coordination, and understanding how complex civil projects come together.

I am excited to help the CMSO run smoothly so my fellow students can enjoy themselves, take proper advantage of all the opportunities provided to them, and find success wherever it greets them here at Kent State University. GO FLASHES!

Hi! I’m Matt Keleman, a fourth-year Construction Management student, pursuing a minor in Marketing and certificate in Professional Sales.

I have competed in multiple student competitions, including UC New Builders Commercial (2024), NAHB Productions (2025 and 2026), and ASC (2025). This year, I plan to compete in ASC again and will be co-leading the NAHB Productions team.

I studied abroad in Italy last semester and will be completing a CAED Travel Fellowship this winter, visiting South Korea and Japan. I’m also an active brother of two professional co-ed fraternities, Alpha Rho Chi, and Pi Sigma Epsilon.

Professionally, I’ve interned with K. Hovnanian Homes and Gilbane Building Company, gaining residential and commercial construction experience. As Secretary, I’m focused on improving organization, planning, and communication to help members make the most of CMSO opportunities. I’m always happy to connect!

Hello everyone! My name is Joel Sonii, and I look forward to serving as an Event Coordinator this year. I am majoring in Construction Management and have gained experience through internships with Gilbane Building Company and Infinity Construction Company. I have also previously competed in the UC New Builders student competition and the ABC competition.

Hi!  My name is Riley Wise and I am so excited to be the Social Media Coordinator for the CMSO!  This is my 4th year at Kent State and 2nd year as a Construction Management major, I am currently pursuing the dual degree in CM and Architectural Studies. 

I am very eager to continue learning about construction, and this summer I look forward to interning with The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company!  In my free time I enjoy reading, crocheting, and pursuing my love for photography!  Please don't hesitate to reach out.  I am looking forward to a great semester! 

Hello, my name is Zach, and I look forward to continue serving you as the CMSO Website Coordinator. I'm a Junior majoring in Architecture and minoring in both Construction Management and Architectural History.

I've been a member of both our NAHB Productions and Customs teams and previously served as a General Board Chair. Additionally, I'm part of the professional fraternity Alpha Rho Chi. Hello! My name is Ryan Maloney and I am a fourth year architecture student with a minor in construction management.

I have been a member of CMSO for three years and have worked in the NAHB student competition this past fall on the productions team. While currently being on this board, I am also the Vice President of professional fraternity Alpha Rho Chi and Secretary for AIAS. Through this position I aim to bring our student organizations closer than ever before, helping unify the majors of the CAED.

Professionally, I have interned at HBC Architects in Manhattan, NY as well as Michel & Associates on Long Island. In my future I aim to be involved in the construction process both as a designer and a builder, and I feel CMSO has provided great opportunities in my collegiate career to get me to where I am today.

HI! I'm Allyson Snyder, and I am a Construction Management Major with a concentration in Safety and minoring in American Sign Language. I have been actively involved in the CMSO as well as working on NAHB Customs and Productions and am currently involved in UC New Builders. I am currently interning at John G Johnson through the Spring '26 semester focusing on safety. This summer I look forward to joining the Hammond Construction team as a Project Engineer Intern. Helping and serving others is something that is very important to me in my faith and values and so I am looking forward to joining the board as a Volunteer Chair.

Hello everyone! My name is Kayden Crosier, and I’m excited to be involved with the Construction Management Student Organization for the 2026–2027 school year. I am a fourth-year Construction Management major with a minor in Business. I am currently interning with Granger Construction.

Outside of academics, I serve as Vice President of the Kent State Fishing Team and am active in intramural sports. I have also participated in both the UC New Builders Competition and the ABC Construction Management Competition. I look forward to connecting with fellow students and continuing to grow within the construction industry.

Hello! My name is Austin Hedges, and I will be serving as a general board member for the CMSO 2026-2027 school year. I am a second year Construction Management major with a minor in business and a concentration on mechanical/electrical systems. I am an active participant within the CMSO, and I am a member of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) student chapter.

For my 2026 term, I had the privilege and honor of being in a co-op with Independence Excavating and their civil division; I am continually learning what it takes to be an effective project manager with leading industry professionals.

Hello! My name is Bree Pringle, and I will be serving as a General Board Member. I am a junior studying Construction Management with a minor in Business. I am currently an intern at Grassbaugh LLC, where I am learning about the management of various civil construction and excavating projects.

I have enjoyed getting involved with the CMSO and being apart of the great opportunities it provides. I am excited to become more involved and help support the organization wherever I can! 

Hi, my name is Landon Tarrant, and I am a senior in the Construction Management program with a Concentration in Mechanical and Electrical.

I was a member of the ABC team, where I served as the MEP estimator and presented step 3.  Additionally, I participated in MCAA (2024), NAHB Customs (2026), and UC New Builders (2025). These competitions have helped me with my summer internship at ArchKey Bruce and Merrilees as a Transportation Estimator. In my free time, I enjoy biking and spending time with friends and family.

Hi, my name is Alan Holcombe, and I will be serving as a General Board Member! I’m excited to get to work, help create meaningful opportunities for my fellow Construction Management students, and assist my fellow board members in making our organization as successful as possible.

I am currently interested in commercial construction and am excited to begin my internship with Whiting-Turner this fall. I am a member of the ABC Student Competition Team and look forward to another successful year of competition this spring.

Outside of school and construction, I enjoy traveling, hiking, taking my dog on walks, and watching sports. I encourage everyone to get involved in the CMSO, as this organization provides support, meaningful friendships, and truly life-changing experiences. Let's have a great year!
